I imagine Lucille Ball bluritng out our blog title. Like you, we are all esconced back in school and its schedules. I dread the back to school nights, the sign ups, the "go"folders that must be signed, the dreary piles of papers that must have my signature and insurance information ad naseum! Not very cheerleader like of me, but we had such a great summer with y'all and since we got an extra month of summer here (our new schedule that does not allow us a Fall Break) the kids are really feeling the shock of routine (ahem, not that they miss job cards or anything...)
We are excited about Parker's senior year, homecomings, college applications, watching his bball games, etc. - an exciting time. He is a national merit canadidate so applying to colleges will be fun. We just celebrated his 17th bday with a new Kawai piano which we enjoy hearing everynite from our forever insomniac...Cooper has officially become a band geek and is marching and playing the base drum at every football game. So cute banging on his drum in his uniform! Grandma Geri will be proud. Early morning band practice and seminary will be a blast...The heavens have smiled upon Maddie and Syd as they were awarded fabulous teachers, I could not have picked better or prayed harder to get them...And of course, Brinley is back to BYU on Sept 3 for her soph year...Brian has 3 weeks in Asia coming up in October and then our big 20th anniversary trip to Oregon Coast will hopefully ensue! On a side note, Dad, there are many very excited people here that you are coming to Time Out For Women this October, and the venue is practcially across the street from our house!!! BTW, I may be there since our October trip may be moved back a week due to Brian's trip! Groupies groupies groupies for Doug! Well, the kids are already considering the Halloween costumes which makes me nauseous! No I am not pregnant, just nauseous about Halloween coming so soon! Big ups to Drew for agreeing to help Brinley move into Raintree - we need a house elf for her!! Kreacher and Dobby where are you! (a little reference for all you Harry Potter fans) WE love you ALL, have a great FALL!!! The Thomas Fam

Yea for Cooper! We've got another drummer in the family! Of course James is a real drummer, much more advanced than I ever was but we had to import him. Band is a big deal in Texas---a nice social group to attach to, so that's a good place for him to be. Sounds like this is going to be a great year for Parker, too. Would love to hear him play that new piano. Love Mom
