klundt family news

Hello Brinley Family. Yes I found my way to the blog! Now, what to report? We are all happily engaged in school. It is so strange to go from dreaming about a few hours to myself, to having that daily. There is so much to do! I hope once I get the canning done and the house painted and carpets cleaned that there will still be some time before the littles go off track and are ready to play. I do love the fall off track time though. Fall is my favorite season and there is so much to do outside. I went on a great hike this week to Grandier Peak. It looks out over the entire valley. It is like a airplane view of Salt Lake. It is amazing how very insignificant the industrial world looks from there. The cool thing for me was to look out over it all and be very unimpressed, and then to look 180 degrees and see some of the awesome Wasatch mountain range.
I am leading a hike to Timp next Saturday and I'm really excited about that. Any takers? I plan to explore as much mountain as possible before the snow comes. Drew I want to do your hike too but my Saturdays are limited. Any other options?
Happy Birthday Dave! I'm sad we missed you guys this summer. Are you still thinking Marathon? Lets make it a family party! I get so excited just thinking about it. I hope everyone will consider it.
Kevin and I are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. I wouldn't believe it myself except that we have a 16 year old son. Nate has hit the road. I think he is a really good driver, but don't tell him that! I can't believe he is a Junior. The computer messed up his math class so he got to take independent music study instead. Sweet! He has a heavy enough load and this will help us with our piano schedule at home.
Abbey is affectionately known as a "tween". She is taking middle school very seriously! I am so happy that she is enjoying it so much. All her friends are 8th and 9th graders so at least she is in the same school with them. She gets to ride the bus with them all.
Anne is now the "grade school nanny". She is responsible to get Millie and Drew to and from school without any problems. It is no little thing to say that she is up for the job. Her great imagination comes in handy. If they are ready on time, I get to walk half way with them until we come to the "bridge to Terebithia" that separates two worlds. Its like the platform 9 and three quarters. I do half to cross over to their world quite often because of continued PTA responsibilities.
Drew and Millie came home from their Presidential Fitness Testing wanting to practice. They asked me to be the coach and work them out. Drew was so excited, he was doing sit ups in bed.
So we are all good and happy and hope you are all the same.
Love beck etc.
