Here we go!

The last week has been so great! It was fun to have Dave and Sandy's family with us for a few days and do a "stay at home" family reunion. We enjoyed the musical "Big River" at Sundance, in spite of the cold. Lots of blankets and warm coats helped. Friday night's "Brinley Birthday Bash" was the best ever. It was so fun to see all those grandkids and their parents playing ball together and to remember 12 years ago when we started doing this Canyon Glen picnic those kids were too little to hold the bat by themselves. They are pretty good little athletes now and can play a mean game. IT was really fun to see Kallie pitch, and she's no slouch at hitting either. It would have been even more fun tosee Maddie play as well. It was fun to have Zack and Chantelle and their little girls come, as well as Carol Brinley and Adam, his wife, and Daniel's wife---one of them is named Tara but I've forgotten the other. Daniel had to work so we didn't get to see him. We had about 30 all together and it was wonderful. I didn't take one picture or I'd put it in here. Darn!

I loved going to the temple together Saturday morning. We did the endowments for our ancestors and Logan and Tanner did baptisms. What a special time. I felt like maybe Drew was there with us, too. Things got a little rushed after that. Dave and Sandy had to leave right after the session, Becky and Kevin hurried back to their families, and Jon and Denise had to get Jacob to a soccer game so we didn't get the breakfast afterwards we'd hoped for, or the trip to the cemetery together to see Drew's new headstone. But it's okay, I'm grateful they all squeezed in what time they could.

Tonight we get set apart and tomorrow we pack.
