Fall is here

Hey, where are you people? It seems like the last several entries have been me talking to myself. How about a little reciprocation?

Well, if you are as busy as we are around here you don't get to sit down too often so I guess I understand. Today is General Conference Sunday and that is both good and bad. Good because I love listening to the brethren and feeling the spirit in our home with the music and the sound of the prophets' voices, but bad because Clair and Clay love the nursery at church and now we've got to get through a Sunday without that break for them (and for us). Last Sunday we were all sick so they couldn't go then, either. We're finally all getting better, though. We've gone through a lot of Kleenex---a box posted in every room.

Even though we weren't feeling well it was fun to have everyone over last Sunday for the joint birthday celebration (Abbey, Anne, and Ali), as well as our 47th wedding anniversary. I hope and pray nobody got sick after their visit here.

It was also fun to have Brian and Maddie visit for a couple of days this weekend. We didn't actually see much of them because they had a full agenda but we could look at the bedding in the library and know they were in the area. Maddie has grown up so much we hardly recognized her. She really looks like an athlete in the making and we're expecting great things from her.
(How did we get such athletic granddaughters?)

Yesterday morning Drew and Doug left for Houston. They should be getting to Dallas sometime today---hopefully before the afternoon session starts. We hope and pray this clinic has the answer for Drew. Thank you again for your fasting and your prayers. LOve to all, Mom
