False Start
Is this good news or bad news? The biopsy didn't show any malignant cells, or at least they couldn't be sure, so they ordered another one done. Today the senior doctor/expert/guy did the procedure and took two samples from two different "nodes" deeper into the lung. The chance of a lung collapse is greater but still better than going into the blood vessel. Not sure how long it will be before we get a reading on these. Drew is still breathing so it's "so far so good".
James helped me put today's pictures in here. The one that looks like a toilet bowl is a cross section of Drew's torso---the dark part is the lungs, the white in the middle is the top of his heart. The two small white spots just to your left of the heart (one looks like it is connected to the heart but the doctor assured me it wasn't) are the two tumors they biopsied. On the third picture Dr. Gibbys is actually driving the needle in (15cm needle!) but you can't see it. Well, that's the story---in color.
