Happy Spring

I got a new job today. I am going to be the chief editor for Emerald Forrest studios in Springville. They are a video production studio with a complete in house staff of writers, directors, programmers and designers. I even have an assistant to do all the menial tasks for me. They gave me a signing bonus if I could start right away so I am starting on Monday. It's a bit of drive from Lehi but they seem like a really good company.

I have been dating a Canadian girl lately. She comes from a family of 9 girls and 5 boys. Anyway we've been dating for nearly a month and I can't think of one thing she doesn't like. Maybe I should invite her over to watch NASCAR and show up at the door with sweat pants and no shirt on.

I was asked 2 months ago to speak in church on Easter Sunday so I had a long time to think about it. The night before I got some food poisoning and I was up most of the night. I called the Bishop Sunday morning to inform him that I was ill and I regretted not being able to give the talk that I had prepared. He responded, "unless your dead, I need you to give that talk." I was kind of relieved in a way that he wasn't letting me off the hook. I showed up, gave the talk and went back to bed. I was really glad to solidify my thoughts on the subject. If I hadn't spoke, all the anxiety I had would have put me into a tail spin so I'm thankfull for the bishop's persistence.
