Hello family,
Well I just spent the last few minutes catching up on blogs from the New Year. We have fallen behind as well here in our posts. As I type Claire is trying to help, so I hope this turns out ledgibly.
I guess the biggest thing going on this month is that the twins will turn 1 year old! It's hard to believe! Seems like only a few months ago we were driving to the hospital at 5am.....But then, the kids are growing, so I~ suppose time must have gone by. Claire is really working on walking and doing very well. She still likes to have assitance most the time, but is getting more daring. Sometimes I'll find her walking to me when I haven't prodded her. Clay enjoys watching her walk back and forth as we practice, but still is confident that crawling is the way to go.
Claire has picked up on several of the signs I have been using with them. I love to see her little fingers actually communicating to me! I think Clay is to busy to bother with such things but he gets his message across in other ways. :)
Clay is a very easy kid. He loves to play on his own and explore things. He doesn't worry about where I am at all times, much like his sister can do. They are great playmates, however, and I love that they can keep each other busy. My favorite is when they play chase with each other.
This week James has been gone for some training at Nellis AF Base in NV. Thankfully he will be home tomorrow. This has been the slowest week in all of history and I wonder what the heck I am going to do with myself when he deploys for 6 months! I guess I have a year to think about that as he won't deploy until April 2009. I do hope to come to Utah to hang with family and cousins! However, with probably no grandparents...my place of residence might be someone's rental- Guess we'll see how things work out.
It was announced last week that our ward has been split, which was exciting news. Our ward is currently 750 (not all active, of course) and our bldg probably accomodates 200? I'm most excited about a break from my calling as Enrichment leader and hope for something new. Well, my time is up as Clay has been crying to get of his crib for the last 15 minutes- oh, and here come Claire walking my way. I really have the cutest kids!
Valentines Fun!
