Hey Fam! Wow, where to begin!? Can I just say, 20th Anniversary get-a-way...way FABULOUS! Brian researched several possible trips for us and finally settled on the Oregon Coast. As a native, he was thrilled to go back and see the things he grew up with. We were so grateful to get grandpa for the first couple of days, and grandma for the rest! What awesome grandparents!! Dad's Time Out For Couples was amazing and worth every penny! I actually brought a couple from our ward who has been split up for 3 months, and this was their first attempt at reconcilliation going to the Time Out. The magic must have been apparent to more than just me because they are doing well and have moved back in together! Go Doug! Anyway, we flew out the next morning and cruised our way down to Portland. We hit the Saturday river market and then the Weber State Vs. Portland State Football game which turned out to be a record breaker ending with the highest college football score in history. (Weber 73 -PSU68) Then we started our tour of bed and breakfasts in Astoria (where Goonies & Kindergarten Cop were filmed), and both fell in love with the first one, then the second one, then the third one..as we moved down the coast they just kept getting better and better. We toured 5 lighthouses, and slept in the lighthouse keeper home on the edge of a cliff on Halloween night. This home has appeared on America's Most Haunted places, and on the Today Show for its ghostly history. So cool! I was determined to talk to the poor spirit who lost her child over the cliff back in 1816. No luck. Anyway, our final bed and breadfast led us back to Portland where we found out that one of our innkeepers had attended BYU and had a daughter in Utah Valley needing a date! Hmmm. 31, cute, occupational therapist, looking for a quirky out of the box thinker, a love of film making & with a testimony...hmmmm. What could we do about that? GO DREW! Anyway, we had a great time and highly recommend a visit to this beautiful coastline. The hiking, the views and vistas, and the history were amazing. That's all for now, Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone! Terri & Brian
