Hey Family! Can't wait to see most of you in a few days, the kids are just itching to see their cousins--especially new cousins, Brinley, their fabulous aunts and uncles and Grandparents!
We were finally reunited with our Philmont hikers this past week and once I had the laundry done I was glad to see them! (I could smell them coming from West Texas!) 2 weeks w/o a formal shower about sent both of them over the edge, but they enjoyed themselves and are now looking for another hike and gear for the rest of us! Texas does not lend itself to this activity so it looks like OK or AR will be our next trailhead. Brian's plans are in full swing.
On the summer front, Maddie and Syd have completed their summer library reading (600 minutes) programs and have cashed in their prizes (what kids won't do for a little Chik-fil-a!) Parker has joined the world of the employed and now also works at Cinemark where all of our children turn in applications at birth! He seems to be enjoying it, but is sad to miss our trip due to the 4th weekend demand. Hopefully he can fly in to see us in Calgary and drive home with us. Still working on that.
We have evidently moved to Oregon as the Texas climate has changed dramatically for the past 60 days. We have had more rain than all the other states combined--all the churches are claiming responsibility and have issued cease and desist orders to all their praying practitioners. That’s it for us!
