Notes From The Strip

(Think Partridge in a pear tree....)FOUR kids in nursey, THREE (hundred) cockroaches, TWO scorpions, and a rock shattered sliding door (thanks to my future Padres player)....and we are still here in North las Vegas as James battles through weapon school (just 40 more days!) every week just as bit as grueling as the last- and we are suffering right along side him. James has his living quarters on base though we do count on seeing him atleast on weekends. Depending on his schedule he may be able to pop in here and there during the week. He flies about 3 times a week, each 2 hour flight taking hours of prepartion before and hours of debriefing after. We're definitely wondering if this was the right decision for us- but we're kind of stuck in it now. Guess time will tell.

So it's definitely countdown time as May has finally arrived!! Graduation is June 12th and we simply can't wait. James' parents come home from being mission presidents in Uganda on July 3rd, so we'll be traveling to San Diego for a couple of weeks in July and later to Idaho for his family reunion. Basically homeless through the month of July (and the end of June for that matter), we look forward to August when we will get to Georgia (not even thinking about THAT drive yet) to finally settle in a house!! It will have been over a year since we've been in our own house with our own things...like a big yard to throw the kids in!

One amazing landmark is having all our kids in nursery... together! It's been 3 years since I focused on a lesson at church. :) The week after C's went into nursery, L's were born. Pretty good timing if I do say so. Unfortunately, Luke has displayed nursery anxiety and oddly starts throwing up on weekends- but we're so close, I can taste it!! I might have to start taking notes once I find myself able to have a conscience thought.... let's have a family fast that I do NOT get a calling in primary, please! :)
