Nearing the End of a Very Long Winter

Here's a clip of Tanner and friends doing a number at Mount Royal College. Quality of the clip isn't great but oh well.

Darin is doing great. He's a new ZL out in the sticks with a Japanese companion which will help his language get caught up. All this time in Portugese and English speaking areas has him feeling a bit behind. He just loves it though.

Sandy is in Utah on Mommy R&R with her sisters. So far I've managed not to starve anyone and get them to the many places they need to be. Its crazy in the morning. Every school starts at a different time and there are multiple seminary classes to drive to and from. Four round trips before breakfast! Ah, if only I had the simple life of the corporate lawyer.

Logan's Jr. High basketball team finishes up this week. They are 40-0 over their last two years. Tanner's team also finishes up. They are, ah, not quite so blessed with success. Last week was a crazy one. They were behind St. Mary's the entire game, and finally caught up at the end. With 4 seconds to go and three points down, our guard passed downcourt to Tanner who hit a fade away three pointer to tie the game. Then with two seconds to go, he fouled a St. Mary's guard who made his shots to win the game for them! Ouch. What a turnatound in personal fortune in two seconds. He's pretty good about it though. We all had a good laugh over that one. T has really discovered his three point shot in the last few games of the season. He had seven three pointers last week against Lord Beaverbrook High School. Too bad the season isn't a bit longer.

Kallie is looking forward to Spring. Her Winter softball training gets a bit confining. She goes to pitching clinic on Wed. with team practice on the weekend. It will be nice to get outside! She finished up her SCUBA certification in Utah the week before last so she is legit and ready to dive. Just need a dive trip now.

I'm going very quietly into work. Its a bad time to be an American in Canada after we just defeated their whole reason for national existence in the Men's Olympic Hockey. Softly softly...
