Thanksgiving review

Thanksgiving Day was fun, thanks to Becky hosting anybody who needed a family and a dinner. Her kids are amazing---each one (and this includes Kevin) choose what part of the dinner they want to make. Drew the younger did the rolls (I'm sure with a little help from mom) and they were beautiful! Kevin made the most awesome stuffing (my personal favorite of all the Thanksgiving foods) and Becky's corn pudding could have called my mom to the table from her grave. Now I can't quite remember who did the rest, but they all had a part. Of course I love our traditional after dinner walk, or hike, or as you may remember from the old days, family basketball game. This year we settled for a nice long walk. It was getting a bit cold by the time we got to it but the day had been mild and beautiful so it wasn't too bad. Some of us walked longer than others but then those football games in the nice warmth of the Klundt family room were calling more strongly to some than others.
After the walk the kids and grandma, and Kevin's nephew Jared made gingerbread houses (or trees) which Drew may or may not post here. He took some pictures. It was all fun.

In another setting, the Thanksgiving Weekend was especially memorable as well. The day after seven of us went to the Oquiir Temple and sealed for some of our ancestors to parents and spouses. I was excited all day thinking how pleased these couples must have been to know that at last they could come together again as husband and wife instead of living separately as they have been for 2 or 3 hundred years. And there were many sons and daughters who may have never married and were not yet linked to a family before that sealing session. It is always a joy to me to me in the temple with our posterity and our ancestors.
