Arizona!!

We were very pleased to leave the -5 deg. frozen North for a few days of R&R in the Grand Canyon State. A little vitamin D, sunshine, cacti, the works. We stayed at a little Holiday Inn Express in Phoenix (Chandler actually) and hit the malls for cheap American pricing, took in a Suns-Jazz game, and swam at the pool.

The highlight of the trip though was the chance to see James and Mandy down in Tucson. After some effort we were allowed on base (they were not amused by a Canadian driver's license) and visited James' squadron headquarters and got to climb around one of his A-10s. We really had fun with the twin twins. It is spooky to be around Clay who is a doppelganger for Tanner at the same age. Sandy always says how fun it would be to have a day again with the kids when they were babies. This is as close as we'll get (unless there's something to the Benjamin Button story). We really enjoyed Luke, Lilly and Claire too, even Buddy, who spent the night with us in the front room. Thanks Christensens!
