Hello,
We have had a great month here in Calgary. The weather has been so mild this year. Darin came up last weekend and we were able to take him through the Cardston temple which was such a nice evening. Then on Saturday we had all his friends over for some japanese food. Sunday was fun for us, not Darin. He had to give his farewell talk in church. The chapel and gym were full with all his friends ( memebers and non members) and parents of his friends. He did such a great job and had everybody laughing with his stories of growing up in Tokyo. Darin will head into the MTC on December 31st... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I wonder if they let the missionaries stay up to ring in the new year...probably not.
Tanner is playing in the City Basketball Championship game tonight. They had a nail biter of a game last night ( Darin, against Properties) to win a spot in the finals. Tanner is excited to start playing JV basketball for Centennial High School next week.
Logan is on a campout witht he scouts. They headed up the bow river and into the mountains for a night hike last night. We hope they all show up at 4:00 today. Logan was asked to present at the school assembly this month for Remembrance Day. He had to speak and introduce the guests (Veterans). He is doing well in school and loves reading any spare moment he has.
Kallie is doing great. She is enjoying basketball and piano. This month she started her dog business. Her uncle Kevin on the Castleton side printed up some business cards for her and she has passed them out to all her friends and church member. She is offering her services to babysit people's dogs while they are away. I think this is a fabuouls idea since I do not want to commit to a pet in case we have to move again, and a few other reasons. So she has her first job next week babysiting two small dogs for a week. The owners are going to pay her 100 dollars. Her brothers are shocked and feel that they might need to become partners in the business.
Dave has been hobbling around like an old man for the past week. He hurt his back lifting weights and has not been able to stand up straight. Today he is moving a bit better.
We are excited to come and visit with everyone next month.
Sandy
