Happy Spring (if that's what it is)

Hi everyone!

OK so its been a while since I logged in and updated everyone on us. Our family really is doing well and getting used to the new digs. We still don't have any neighbors in our circle, not even a hole dug yet, but its not all bad we have the place to ourselves and the kids are enjoying digging holes out in the fields. We are beginning to see some reasons for our moving here though. First of all we love the ward. Its huge but full of good, serving, strong families. More and more we're feeling a part of things. Secondly, we have found the kids' school to be quite good and helpful. As some of you know, the boys were recently diagnosed with rather severe dyslexia. So, we have been studying up on what that means and sent Denise to a conference to find out more. We've always known they were struggling and have had them in resource the last couple of years. Now we feel good about a specific problem we can work with. The principal and resource teacher at the school have been very encouraging (which we don't think would have happened as much in our old school).

The boys' baptism was our biggest recent event. They were so excited. I think all the pictures of them before and after turned out blurry because they could not hold still for the excitement they felt. They got new suits for the occasion and sure look handsome in them. They have been trying really hard to stay clean and be good.

The weather here has just been crazy with a only a little sun and still some snow going on(apologies to you Canadian folks). In addition, Denise has had some skin problems the cure for which was either a tanning bed or get out in the sun. So, we decided to go to Arizona over my Spring Break. We drove as far as Laughlin, Nevada the first night as soon as I could get away and finished the trip to Gilbert the next day. The kids couldn't wait to jump in the frigid pool where we were staying (at Denise's sister's house). The weather was perfect! 85 or above the whole time. We had a good time hiking and playing with cousins. One of the highlights of the trip was to have Mandy come up from Tucson with Clay and Claire and spend some time with us. James came up the next day for the big picnic in the park by the temple. It was so fun to visit and see them again. Alas, we are back home again and it has snowed twice already. Oh well.

I hope everyone had a very enjoyable Easter, as we did, and will enjoy General Conference next weekend. Love to you all and thoughts and prayers especially for Zach.

Love, Jonathan
