This week I start gathering footage for a possible documentary about eating. On Thursday I am filming a women’s support group that meets once a month to discuss their lives in the context of their eating habits and physical health. If the footage is golden I will continue to film them once a month for at least a year. Hopefully a story will emerge.
I have been shoeless for two weeks as the mammoth blisters on my heels have been heeling. Starving for some exercise, I went for another hike in flip flop sandals which broke near the top of the hike. Being a student of Man Vs. Wild I employed Bear-Grylls-like skills to fashion new sandal straps out of braided weeds. Thanks Bear.
I was invited to go canoeing with a BYU English teacher up in Ogden. I am hoping that while we j-hook our way across the lake we can discuss the validity of the split infinitive. My argument is that if James T. Kirk says “to boldly go” at the beginning of each Star Trek episode then clearly the split infinitive is accepted in the future.
Our 90 Hour Real Estate Course, that we have been working on for the past six months, has finished shooting. However because of legal problems we can't use or sell any of it so we are scrapping it and possibly starting over.
Here is a blooper reel from our now defunct project.

Drew, As usual, your entry made me laugh. I've never been sure what a split infinitive is but I'd be interested in your English teacher's response. Have you already had that boating excursion or is that still coming up?
Did you read the Ensign article yet? Maybe you won't identify with that guy, but I'll bet there are some in your ward who do---maybe Wendy.
Speaking of your documentary, did Becky tell you Sunday about the book "Mindless Eating" she is reading. There are some good points in there you might be able to use. How is the exercize video coming? Is that still a work in process?
I watched some of this blooper one you sent but couldn't get any sound so I'm sure I missed the point. Maybe Doug knows how to get our sound working. Love you, Mom
